We communicate the status of key components of the VTS platform at status.vts.com where you can check on planned events, unplanned incidents, and overall platform performance. Pop into status.vts.com any time or sign up for performance alerts there via email—here we'll break down some specifics and how we define component statuses.
The VTS components we track
Our monitoring tool probes the following components across the entire VTS offering every second so you're always accurate and up-to-date:
- Lease
- Marketplace
- Market
- Business Analytics
- Emails
- SSO/Login
- Integrations
- Mobile Apps
- APIs
- VTS Data
- Rise
- Activate
Definition of component statuses
You'll find 5 component statuses on status.vts.com. Please note that any service outage, major or partial, is treated as a top priority incident by our team and will follow our top priority incident management process accordingly to restore the service as soon as possible.
Operational
The component is functioning properly as expected.
Degraded Performance
The component is not failing and is still usable, but it's not functioning as expected (i.e. slow load times).
Partial Outage
Any incident involving specific parts of our application, that are either not fully implemented for all customers or outside of core functionality is considered a partial outage. Components that constitute partial outages are:
-
-
- SSO
- Integrations
- Emails
- Mobile Apps
- APIs - readme.vts.com
- BI/Data
-
Major Outage
Any incident involving core components (i.e. Lease, Market, Marketplace, APIs) or if the entire application is unavailable is considered a major outage.
Maintenance
The component is undergoing scheduled maintenance. Our team typically schedules maintenance windows on weekends and off-hours, and we always post announcements in the platform ahead of time.

How we consider uptime
Uptime is driven by component states. You can view a history of VTS's uptime by selecting View historical uptime—any date where the percentage is not 100% is due to a component having been in a major outage or partial outage state.
While major outages affect core functional components listed above, partial outages only affect a subset of functionality which are mentioned above as partial components. Following that logic, partial outages don't count as much as major outages in the uptime showcase—they're discounted to only be 30% of SLA on the uptime percentage as compared to major outages.
